Prepared September 8, 2026. Version 2026-09-08-prose-engine-privacy-v1. Effective when published as the current version in the EpicX legal manifest.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use EpicX on devices you own or control, strictly in accordance with this EULA and applicable store terms.
You agree not to:
You are responsible for content you upload, post, or share on EpicX. You confirm you have the necessary rights for your content. Platform moderation and content policy enforcement may remove or restrict content that violates our policies or law.
If you contribute to the EpicX Classics catalog, the ownership and license treatment for the specific EpicX Classics edition and related submission materials is governed by Section 4.2 of the Terms of Service. The underlying public-domain source text remains public domain, but the EpicX Classics edition and package you submit are subject to those additional Terms rules.
EpicX may provide features that improve reading, publishing, accessibility, discovery, and reader convenience, including Prose Engine writing assistance, continuity dossiers, AI-assisted translation, text-to-speech narration, audio playback, formatting and display optimization, recommendations, discovery, and related reader experience tools.
You understand that these features may process content, text, metadata, and usage activity as needed to provide the app experience. Some features may rely on third-party technology providers where needed for translation, narration, storage, delivery, analytics, moderation, security, or other platform functionality. Automated translation and narration may not perfectly preserve the original wording, tone, style, meaning, or human performance of source content.
Optional recipient-side community translation may process eligible messages, posts, comments, replies, and previews through a contracted translation provider when a recipient or viewer enables the feature, including text authored by users who have not enabled translation for their own accounts. This does not change content visibility. The original content remains authoritative, and provider failure does not block access to or delivery of the original content. Provider, caching, international-processing, and privacy-choice details are described in the Privacy Policy.
Eligible audiobook-player surfaces may display non-interruptive Google or EpicX advertising. Consent, tracking, and advertising-data processing are governed by the Privacy Policy and your device settings.
EpicX uses AI to provide feature functionality. We do not use user content to train, fine-tune, or improve AI models, and we do not sell, license, or otherwise provide user content to third parties for those purposes. This commitment covers manuscripts, chapters, unpublished drafts, continuity dossiers, messages, prompts, uploaded media, and generated results associated with your account. We require AI service providers processing that content for EpicX to operate under terms and settings that exclude its use for model training or model improvement. Permission to operate a feature is not permission to train a model. References elsewhere in these documents to improving the Service do not create an exception to this commitment.
Prose Engine conversations and planning notes are private to the requesting user and book, subject to authorized service processing described in the Privacy Policy. AI results require your review; manuscript edits require explicit acceptance and a valid editing target. Existing publication locks and permissions still apply. The Terms of Service explain writing allowances and optional EC overage; the Privacy Policy explains processing, access, export, deletion, and retention.
EpicX, its branding, and software components are owned by GoldenEpic Solutions Inc. or its licensors and are protected by law. This EULA does not transfer ownership rights.
Avatar Studio assets, Backdrops, virtual pets, cosmetics, accessories, achievement displays, and care consumables are licensed, account-bound digital features. They do not transfer ownership of EpicX artwork or software and may not be extracted, resold, or used outside EpicX except where the Service expressly permits it. Retired owned items remain usable where legally and technically possible; necessary removals may be resolved with a reasonable equivalent or account credit.
Book access, Novels, offline reading, marketplace purchases, author-fulfilled products, EpicX Managed Print, creator payouts, tax profiles, and refunds are governed by the linked Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy.
Your use of EpicX is also governed by our Privacy Policy: https://epicgens.org/privacy.html
EpicX may link to or integrate third-party services. We are not responsible for third-party terms, content, or practices.
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate this EULA, the Terms of Service, or applicable law. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
EpicX is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoldenEpic Solutions Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from use of EpicX.
This EULA is governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

2026-09-09-negotiated-royalties-v2. Review draft until the owner-approved effective date in the active manifest.
A separately signed negotiated book agreement takes precedence only for its expressly stated book, channels, royalty rates, term and support. It does not expand the application content licence, transfer copyright, or grant new audio, comic, adaptation, translation, training, game or screen rights. Existing valid format permissions remain required. Other app permissions continue under their applicable terms.
For covered transactions during the term, the agreed author percentage replaces the normal percentage. Signing, amendments and ordinary mutual early termination require explicit assent to the exact document. General EULA acceptance does not sign them. Expiry does not invalidate valid reader purchases or extend production rights. Agreement and statement access does not require Author Pro.
